Review of the Bismut Connection II

Abstract

Associated to any Hermitian manifold $(M,J,g)$ is a unique connection $\nabla$ which satisfies $\nabla g =0$ and $\nabla J =0$ as well as a certain torsion condition. This connection is called the Bismut connection. The Bismut connection turns out to be closely related to strong Kähler-metrics with torsion (which in turn are equivalent to Hermitian-symplectic manifolds). In this talk, I will review the construction of this connection.
